We had the opportunity to cruise around in a 2020 Ford Explorer the other weekend thanks to Midwest Ford Dealers. This car has so many amazing features and looks so nice that it was a sad day for our family when we had to give it back.
With Christmas right around the corner, we are starting to prepare for our travels to Iowa. Every year we take a trip to visit Neal’s family. I was so impressed with the space in the Ford Explorer. The third row and the (optional) bucket seats made for plenty of movable space for our three kids. Lots of leg room and lots of cup holders were the kids favorite features in the back. I wish I could have caught their excitement on camera. We get really excited over cup holders in our family!
I’ve always been one who loves a big SUV so naturally I thought the Ford Expedition would be more suited for our family. I was so wrong! I will be due for a car in the near future and we have definitely add the Ford Explorer to our short list. It has just as much room as my current car if not more!
They made the 2020 version of the Ford Explorer a little wider and added in a step right next to the seats. This made it so much easier for the kids to get in on their own.
The Ford Explorer has a hands-free, foot activated lift gate making it so easy for us mamas to load the vehicle with kids or things in our hands. This might have been one of my favorite features!
The safety features of the 2020 Ford Explorer are so good! Some of the features include parking assist (see video below), lane-keeping system and cruise control that moves & stops with traffic. This car is designed to keep you safe by acting for you during those split seconds that you are distracted. Parents out there, I know you can relate!
I was also very surprised to see how much trunk space there was and if I needed more, I just hit a button to have one or both of the seats flatten down. It’s perfect for those bigger grocery store hauls or if you need the extra space for luggage while traveling. I would use it all the time. Check out this video for a glimpse of this feature.
The Apple CarPlay allows me to stay hands free and safe while driving around. Ironically it assumed that I was ready to take a trip to Target. Neal was impressed that it already knew me so well, ha!
We absolutely love this car and all its features. There are so many more that I didn’t highlight. This is truly a perfect family car and I would definitely recommend checking out the 2020 Ford Explorer for your next vehicle!
