Now let’s tap into your own potential.
Speaker 1 (01:51):
Hey, there today’s episode. I thought it appropriate to talk about how many times I’ve thought about quitting. And, um, as I told you in previous episodes last month was a hard one for me. And I think as moms and entrepreneurs, I think you have probably also felt this way, at least at one point in time, and it could be happening daily. You just, you know, I mean, I’ve definitely had moments where it’s been on my mind every day of the week. So I just wanted to briefly kind of run through this with you and give you some perspective on it and maybe change your mindset a little bit about it. And honestly, as frustrating as the times are right now, it is probably more important that you are pouring yourself even more into your business. But before you actually do that, I think it’s important to first take time to make sure that you are doing what you are passionate about.
Speaker 1 (03:04):
And I think sometimes when we feel the need to quit, it’s maybe because we are not aligned in our passions and our dreams, and maybe you need to make a pivot and I’m not going to dig deep into this because I’m going to talk more about pivoting in your business on Thursday. But what I want you to first do before we move forward is making sure that what you’re doing is really what you want to do. Does it bring you joy? And if it doesn’t then come back on Thursday and listen to that episode. But if it does that, I want you to just take a moment. And I think the most, the most important thing to do is give yourself some grace and give yourself some time. So for me, during my, um, month-long, um, moment of wanting to just quit and, you know, throw everything away at the very end, I realized that I just needed to give myself some time away.
Speaker 1 (04:00):
So if you’re able to take a few days off, give yourself time with your family, give yourself time with yourself and really just take in those moments, not thinking about the work you need to do, not thinking about, you know, how you need to grow your business, giving yourself a mental break. I think this is so important. Now, once you’ve done this, you come back and you just be ready to double down because right now we are in this crazy season where there are so many changes happening. So many unknowns. I truly think that this online business world will only get bigger and stronger. And so if that is something that is aligned with your business, if you are online or even if you’re not, if you’re a brick and mortar and you can put some of your product or services online now is the time now time to commit to do as much work as you can for your future.
Speaker 1 (05:06):
Now, also considering that you are a mom, because there are so many unknowns and hopefully your kids are in some form of schooling right now use this time wisely use all of the time you have, because we don’t know if our kids will be home again with us full time. That’s my thought process right now. And as much as I just want to sit back and just do the bare minimum, because I’m also very tired. Um, after those long six months of having kids at home, I know that my time with my kids in school could be short, lived in reality, really? It could. So now is the time to go full force in your business, do what you can to pivot or expand and grow. Whatever you need to do. There literally is no time like the present when it comes to your business.
Speaker 1 (06:15):
I understand the feeling of overwhelm and I understand the feeling of fear, but now is our time. Now is our time as mom preneurs to go all out. This online world is going to explode, and I know that you can be successful if you just put in the time and effort right now. Thank you for joining me today on this podcast.
