Last week was rough. I yelled, I cried, I gave up and basically just did enough to survive. Being locked in is likely to effect all of you emotionally at some point. I am working on shifting my mindset and putting a few things in to practice this week in hopes to have a much better week.
Wake up two hours before the kids usually do. I actually started this last week and it’s given me the time to myself and allowed me to get a little work done.
Start the morning off with prayer and reflection.
After #2, make a plan. On Monday, I will look at the week as a whole and plan out each day. Each morning after, I plan to revisit the day and make any adjustments, as needed.
Workout every morning Monday-Friday. Just something to move my body, even if only for 20 minutes.
Give my kids my undivided attention from 9-12. No work, no social media, no personal distractions. Just me and the kids.
Allow the older kids screen time and free play during Vinny’s nap so that I can completely focus on work.
Create a daily plan BUT allow for shifts in the schedule as they come.
Listen to at least one motivating podcast per day. (https://www.mrsandsis.com/blog/my-favorite-podcasts-right-now)
Give myself 30 mins at night to do whatever I want… not house or work related. Read a book, paint my nails, watch tv, etc.
Give myself GRACE.
