My shoe style has come a long way over the years. I don’t think my younger self would have ever consider wearing sneakers this much. You remember those times out on the town when strangers or even (guy) friends would casually question how it was possible for you to wear those four-inch heels all night long without pain? Yeah me too. I also remember thinking; this is easy, and I can’t imagine not wearing heels. Fast forward to now and the idea of putting on a heel makes my knees hurt. I mean don’t get me wrong I still wear them, when appropriate, but I feel the pain the next day.
My shoe of choice these days, sneakers. They are a versatile shoe that can be transitioned from season to season. I also find that, especially with a neutral pair, they go with almost any style or outfit. I’ve even seen them paired with the most glamorous of dresses and on the runways. The best part about them…comfort! As a mom, I can also give them more appreciation because they are the most mom friendly shoe when interacting with children.
I hope the photos I’ve included in this post will help to give you inspiration on how to incorporate sneakers into your wardrobe. I promise you can’t go wrong and your comfortable self will thank me later!
One of my favorite things to do with my sneakers is change up the way I tie the shoelaces. This can give the outfit a completely different feel. The side tie loosens the sneakers giving it casual unstructured look. You could also change the way you string the shoelace through the shoe. Give it a try and have fun with it!
